Job summary

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Electrical Contractor in Palm City, FL, seeking an Electrical Estimator and/or Senior Electrical Estimator to tackle large-scale commercial projects. The role focuses on taking off plans, drafting detailed bid proposals, and driving profitability for electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience, strong plan-reading ability, and solid Excel/Word skills, with ConEst knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word; ConEst estimating software is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external clients.
• Experience with education sector large commercial and industrial projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.
• Develop complete and accurate takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering or scope modifications as needed.
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes.
• Collaborate closely with the construction team throughout project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders.
• Maintain well-organized and accurate bid documentation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Electrical Contractor in the Palm City, FL (suburbs) on their search for an Electrical Estimator and/or Senior Electrical Estimator to start work on a large-scale, Commercial projects (electrical).

Estimator creates accurate, aggressive, and profitable bid proposals for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. The Sr.Estimator reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and reviews bids within the Estimating staff for accuracy. Focuses on profitability and cost control.
