Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:
This is an on-site position

• Preparation of project bids, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents.
• Computes costs by performing take-offs, analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Provides critical support to estimating and project management by updating all estimating and design-build projects, working with owner/developer/architect for bids.
• Attends meetings with project architects/customers as needed to resolve issues and ensure proper coordination for accurate bid documents.
• Helps monitor design scope for changes affecting budget or schedule; identifies causes and advises customers accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of value engineering concepts and knowledge of electrical, building codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Accubid.
• Exceptional organization skills and project management abilities.
• Attention to detail, self-reliant, ability to manage workload, professional and positive attitude!

Additional Skills & Abilities:

• Two-year college degree or training, or equivalent experience within the construction industry.
• Experience bidding industrial work.
• 5+ years in architectural, engineering, or construction fields, performing preconstruction efforts and/or preparing proposals/qualification statements.
