We are seeking a highly skilledElectrical Estimatorto join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects within the commercial construction sector. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and estimating software to develop competitive bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Determine the scope of work and identify labor, material, and time requirements.
• Develop detailed and competitive bid proposals in coordination with project managers and clients.
• Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to refine project estimates.
• Conduct site visits when necessary
• Utilize estimating software and databases to develop cost projections.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and project requirements.
• Prepare change order estimates and updates for ongoing projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs.
• Assist in the negotiation and procurement of contracts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of5 yearsexperience in electrical estimating, preferably in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, McCormick, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
