Job Description

TriStarr's client is actively looking to bring on an Electrical Estimator to join their growing team in Mount Joy, PA.

The Electrical Estimator prepares estimates to support project managers in bidding. This position is responsible for ensuring estimates are completed on time and supports the achievement of established sales and financial objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

1. Maintains an environment that adheres to safety, inclusiveness, career progression, teamwork, and customer focus.
2. Analyzes blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3. Consults with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, contractors, and value-added personnel.
5. Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
6. Prepares estimates used by the director of estimating and project management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
7. Prepares estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
8. Selects and communicates to stakeholders the margin strategy for the project.
9. Reviews material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
10. Prepares and maintains a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
11. Sets up cost monitoring and reporting systems for project review.
12. Conducts handoff meetings to review the RSR Project Hand Off Form, ensuring clarity for project managers, foremen, and safety managers regarding project expectations.
13. Advises the project manager throughout the project.
14. Serves as the subject matter expert for using Vista and Accubid.
15. Attends and contributes to project debrief discussions and executes assigned actions.
16. Prepares electrical quotes for industrial and commercial applications.
17. Performs all other duties as requested.
18. Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety rules, conducting self professionally and ethically as a company representative.

Education and/or Experience

Seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Pay rate: $80,000 - $100,000 based on experience
