Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Cincinnati, OH. You will develop accurate quotes for electrical service opportunities across IPS product lines, including switchgear, apparatus, circuit breakers, field service, testing, and maintenance.

You will review specifications, partner with sales and operations, identify labor and material needs, and ensure precise pricing and scoping while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience estimating electrical services, power distribution equipment, switchgear, breakers, apparatus, or field service work.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, circuit breakers, switchgear, testing, repair, remanufacturing, and power management services.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, one-lines, scope documents, and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, drawings, service requests, and scope requirements to prepare detailed estimates.
  • Quote electrical products and services including switchgear, apparatus, circuit breaker repair/reman, field service, testing, maintenance, and related solutions.
  • Partner with sales, operations, engineering, purchasing, and service teams to develop accurate pricing and scope assumptions.
  • Identify labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and scheduling requirements for each estimate.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify scope, exclusions, lead times, and technical requirements.
  • Support bid reviews, proposal development, and handoff meetings with operations after award.
  • Maintain estimate files, quote documentation, vendor pricing, and customer communication records.
  • Help identify cost‑saving opportunities, alternate solutions, and value‑added recommendations for customers.
  • Follow IPS safety, quality, and customer service standards in all estimating activities.

Responsibilities And Expectations

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, timely, and competitive quotes for electrical service opportunities across IPS product lines, including switchgear, apparatus, circuit breaker repair/remanufacturing, field service, testing, maintenance, and related power management solutions

Qualifications And Competencies
  • Experience estimating electrical services, power distribution equipment, switchgear, breakers, apparatus, or field service work
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, circuit breakers, switchgear, testing, repair, remanufacturing, and power management services
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, one-lines, scope documents, and customer requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating, CRM, ERP, or service management systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, operations, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and quote requests in a fast‑paced service environment
  • Customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving and follow‑through skills
  • Electrical trade, field service, project management, or technical sales experience preferred
