Job summary

Granger Construction is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Preconstruction team and help shape projects before construction begins by developing accurate estimates and evaluating risks and opportunities.

You will collaborate with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver exceptional outcomes, stay current on codes and technologies, and maintain meticulous estimating records throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field; or Journeyman/Master Electrician with an associate degree.
• 2–5 years of estimating, construction, electrical, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, safety and security, and communications infrastructure.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, codes, and regulations affecting electrical construction.
