Job summary

Granger Construction Company seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. You will develop accurate electrical estimates, review drawings and specs, and partner with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of estimating or relevant construction experience, knowledge of electrical systems and NEC, and familiarity with estimating software and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field or Journeyman/Master Electrician with an associate degree.
• 2–5 years in estimating, construction, electrical, or related work.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and National Electrical Code.
• Experience with estimating software and construction tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and technical docs to define scope.
• Collaborate with project teams throughout preconstruction.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals for competitive pricing.
• Identify risks, VE opportunities, and cost-saving options.
• Maintain estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on codes, regulations, and industry trends.

Granger Construction is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. In this role, you'll help shape projects long before construction begins by developing accurate estimates, evaluating risks and opportunities, and partnering with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, codes, and regulations affecting electrical construction.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or Journeyman/Master Electrician with an associate degree.
• 2-5 years of estimating, construction, electrical, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, safety and security, and communications infrastructure.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction technology platforms. Estimating software experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
