Job summary

GPAC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a well-established local contractor in Kansas City. The role focuses on local commercial and industrial bids, reviewing drawings, specs, and bid documents to develop accurate estimates.

You will perform material and labor takeoffs, solicit vendor pricing, and prepare competitive bids while coordinating with Project Managers and operations. No extensive travel is required and growth opportunities abound.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can help develop accurate and competitive bids.

This is a great opportunity for an estimator who wants to work with a local contractor and focus on projects in the local market rather than constantly chasing work across different regions.

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents

Requirements

• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus
