Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for a well-established local contractor in Detroit, MI. Focus is on local commercial and industrial bids with no constant travel, a strong project backlog, and opportunities for long-term growth.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, takeoffs, vendor pricing, and preparing competitive bids while collaborating with PMs and leadership. 3+ years' electrical estimating required; Accubid/ConEst/McCormick exp preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines
• Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can help develop accurate and competitive bids.

This is a great opportunity for an estimator who wants to work with a local contractor and focus on projects in the local market rather than constantly chasing work across different regions.
