Summers-Taylor, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Osborne Electric Division in Johnson City, TN. The estimator will lead estimating and bidding for industrial projects, review plans, and coordinate with project managers to ensure bids are accurate and competitive.

The role emphasizes budget management, cost tracking, and profitability analysis, with a TN Electrical License and strong leadership skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial estimating, bidding, and cost control for electrical or construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and project profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• TN Electrical License
• Industrial or Commercial Electrical background; knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

Summary

Summers-Taylor, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Osborne Electric Division in Johnson City, TN. As the Electrical Estimator you will be responsible for preparing estimates for industrial and commercial projects, reviewing plans throughout the duration of a project, and ensuring the success of all assigned projects. Your expertise in estimating materials, labor and equipment costs will enable us to accurately bid on projects, be awarded projects, and deliver quality work to all clients. This role will combine strategic planning with hands-on leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Duties

Estimating & Bidding

• Lead the estimating and bidding process for industrial electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop accurate and competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators and supervisors during bid preparation.
• Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.

Financial & Budget Management

• Manage and monitor division budgets and project financials.
• Track job costs, labor productivity, and margins throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review financial reports and take corrective action to address variances.
