Job summary

Yellowstone Local is proud to represent McBride Lighting & Electrical Services, an industry leader in lighting and electrical services. This estimator role focuses on accurate bids for commercial and residential projects, ensuring NEC compliance and cost-effective decisions.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, attend bid meetings, and develop estimates using historical data and software. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in electrical estimating, read plans, and possess strong analytical

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in electrical estimating and electrical construction.
• Proven experience preparing accurate project estimates.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local building codes.
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints and specifications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Attend bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and pre-bid conferences.
• Review RFPs, electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Prepare accurate electrical estimates for small to medium-sized commercial and residential projects.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Develop estimates using historical cost data and estimating software.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout bidding and preconstruction.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes while ensuring NEC compliance.

Your New Role
