Responsibilities:

• Preparation of project bids, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents.
• Compute costs by performing take-off, analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
• Provide critical support to estimating and project management by updating all estimating and design-build projects, working with owner/developer/architect for bid to companies.
• Attend meetings with project architects/customers as needed to assist with unresolved problems and ensure adequate coordination is happening to ensure accurate bid documents.
• Help monitor design scope for changes affecting budget or schedule; identify causes and advise customer as needed.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of value engineering concept and knowledge of electrical code, building codes and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, and Accubid.
• Exceptional organization skills and project/program management.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical estimating, performing preconstruction efforts and/or preparing proposal/qualification statements.
• Attention to detail, self-reliant, ability to balance workload, professional & positive attitude.

Additional Skills & Abilities:

• Two-year college degree or training; or equivalent experience within the construction industry.
• Experience bidding industrial work.
