Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for industrial construction projects in Charleston, WV. You will review plans and specs, prepare material and labor cost estimates, and manage bid activity from start to submission.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years of electrical estimating, proficiency with Accubid, and strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and management and to deliver competitive bids.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for industrial construction projects from bid preparation through tender submission. This role is responsible for producing accurate material and labor cost estimates, reviewing project plans and specifications, analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes, and preparing competitive proposals.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of electrical estimating experience, strong knowledge of construction cost estimating and quantity takeoffs, and proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid and online bid portals. You will collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and management to deliver accurate estimates, manage bid activity, and support successful project handoffs upon award.

Requirements:

• Must live within driving distance or relocate to Charleston, WV
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5-10 years of electrical estimating experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
• Experience with Accubid and online bid platforms
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
