We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our construction projects, as it involves preparing and submitting accurate electrical estimates for our commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, with a focus on tilt-up construction, distribution centers, warehouses, and cold storage facilities. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent mathematical skills, and a passion for electrical systems, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Electrical Estimator, your duties will include but are not limited to

• Preparing and submitting accurate and competitive electrical estimates for a diverse range of projects, including commercial, tilt, tilt wall, tilt-up, distribution centers, warehouses, and cold storage facilities.
• Reviewing construction plans and specifications to determine the electrical requirements of the project.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to understand the scope of work and provide accurate cost estimates.
• Analyzing and evaluating subcontractor proposals and bids.
• Tracking and managing changes in scope of work and adjusting estimates accordingly.
• Maintaining detailed and organized records of all estimation documentation.
• Participating in project kickoff meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical estimation.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with commercial, tilt, tilt wall, tilt-up, distribution centers, warehouses, and cold storage facilities.
• Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using computer software for estimating and takeoff.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification from a recognized professional body such as the American Society of Professional Estimators is a plus.
