Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Electrical Equipment Technician in Seattle, WA for a full-time, 12-month contract. You will participate in test design, fabricate test fixtures, support system integration, and perform routine testing under supervision.

• Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (Ohms law, series/parallel resistance).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate general test equipment and interpret results.
• Knowledge of wiring, routing, clamping and terminating wires per electrical codes.
• Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Effective communication of information.

Electrical Equipment Technician: Take Your Expertise Beyond the Flight Line

Job Title: Electrical Equipment Technician
Job Type: Full Time, Contract (12 months)
Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Monday-Friday; First Shift 6:30AM-3PM
Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Electrical Equipment Technician in Seattle, WA.

What You’ll Do:

• Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.

• Facilitates systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down.

• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots basic laboratory and test-related problems. Works under close supervision.

• Obtain appropriate drawings, specification, documents and/or sketches, using online computing systems.

• Perform system installation measurement using general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and troubleshoot if measurement are not within specification

• Install, remove, or modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using various mechanical and electrical hand tools to bring wiring to engineering specifications per non-conformance reports, and specifications.

• Troubleshoot and repair faults, as required.

• Assist in the development method and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when methods and procedures have not been established.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (basic understanding of Ohms law, series and parallel resistance calculations, Faraday's law of induction, Kirchhoff's Current Law)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Ability to operate general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and interpret results.

• Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires and/or wire bundles in electrical systems and assemblies, per the appropriate electrical codes.

• Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams to determine faulty components to replace and/or repair.

• Effectively communicate information.

• Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance

Pay Details: $27.50 per hour
