Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Electrical Equipment Technician in Seattle, WA to join a leading aviation program. This full-time contract (12 months) role offers first shift—6:30 AM to 3 PM—with a pay rate of $27.50 per hour.

You will participate in test design, fabricate and assemble components, support integration and testing, and troubleshoot to meet engineering specifications under supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (Ohm's law, series/parallel resistance).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate general test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters) and interpret results.
• Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires per codes.
• Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Effective communication of information.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.
• Facilitates systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down.
• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots basic laboratory and test-related problems. Works under close supervision.
• Obtain appropriate drawings, specification, documents and/or sketches, using online computing systems.
• Perform system installation measurement using general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and troubleshoot if measurement are not within specification
• Install, remove, or modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using various mechanical and electrical hand tools to bring wiring to engineering specifications per non-conformance reports, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults, as required.
• Assist in the development method and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when methods and procedures have not been established.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (basic understanding of Ohms law, series and parallel resistance calculations, Faraday's law of induction, Kirchhoff's Current Law)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and interpret results.
• Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires and/or wire bundles in electrical systems and assemblies, per the appropriate electrical codes.
• Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams to determine faulty components to replace and/or repair.
• Effectively communicate information.
• Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance

Pay Details: $27.50 per hour
