Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level I for our Manufacturing Retrofit Production Team on the 1st Shift. You will build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers, contributing to our reach in energy distribution.

The role offers 6:00AM to 2:30PM shift hours and an hourly rate of $19.00. Ideal candidates are practical, safety‑minded, and capable of handling tools and reading assemblies

Qualifications

• Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous basis without current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and being a strong team player.
