Electrical Engineering Technician

Company Profile:

Our client has remained a leader in innovation and technology development associated with the manufacturing of specialized agricultural equipment. They are seeking creative individuals to assist with the development of current product lines and new products. The position is based in the Des Moines area, requiring some travel between the Technical Center and a plant about 2 hours away.

The Role You Will Play:

• Provide technical expertise in designing electrical systems, components, and products
• Evaluate the functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical systems
• Collaborate with engineering and other teams to improve existing products and develop new ones
• Utilize 2D and 3D skills for designing electrical parts, schematics, diagrams, and specifications
• Apply knowledge of electrical design, PLCs, and controls

Background Profile:

• AAS in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent education and experience
• Strong background in electrical/electronics in a manufacturing setting, with experience in electrical design, controls, and PLCs
• Familiarity with electrical industry codes, standards, and regulations is a plus
• Strong electromechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
