Job summary

BSA (St. Louis) seeks an Electrical Engineering/Summer 2027 intern to contribute to design ideas, drawings, and client materials in a collaborative studio setting in Creve Coeur, MO.

You will work with engineers and architects, use Revit, SketchUp, and 3D CAD, and attend client meetings and site visits to gain practical experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical or Architectural Engineering program for Summer 2027.
• Familiarity with Revit, 3D CAD and SketchUp software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of design ideas balancing aesthetics, function and client specs.
• Prepare working drawings from sketches and design specs.
• Prepare client presentations and supporting materials.
• Attend design meetings to observe cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Visit construction sites and participate in site surveys.

BSA is seeking a motivated Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering student to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship at our St. Louis studio in Creve Coeur, MO.

What You'll Do:

• Participate in the development of design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, and client specifications.
• Prepare working drawings from sketches and design specification.
• Prepare presentations and materials for clients.
• Participate in project design meetings to experience how multi-disciplinary teams collaborate on project design and delivery.
• Attend client meetings; visit construction sites on projects.
• Participate in site surveys to gather field data.

Education and Experience:

• Educational Background: Will be a current student of an accredited Electrical or Architectural Engineering program during Summer of 2027
• Software Skills: Familiarity with Revit, 3D CADD, SketchUp
• Office Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office Suite
