Job summary

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Computer Science, Engineering, and Physics Department, beginning in late July 2027. The department offers an ABET-accredited general engineering degree with electrical engineering emphasis and a faith-informed teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
• Doctorate in Engineering is required (preferably ABET) and ABD will be considered for tenure-track status.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills, dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement.
• Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in introductory and advanced engineering courses, focusing on electrical engineering emphasis. Typical teaching load is 12 hours per long semester.
• Engage in curriculum development, student recruitment and advising, professional attainment, and service to department, college, university and community.
• Foster student growth through mentoring, research opportunities, and experiential learning.
