Qualifications

•••• is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Graduate in Seattle, Washington or the Portland/Vancouver area to work closely with experienced engineers and consultants delivering engineering solutions and advice that support positive outcomes for clients. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.

In this role, you will assist with the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will support work across hospitality, mixed use, government, and MEP markets while advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and •••• standards

What You'll Bring

Required

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
• Engineering in Training (EIT) or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings
• Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; and familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Basic knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

Preferred

• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
• Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred

Recurring work includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology scope, with additional support in energy modeling, commissioning, telecom, security, and architectural lighting on larger coordinated efforts.

State of Washington Salary Range: $76,000-$80,000 per year
