The role emphasizes team leadership, staffing, mentorship, cost/schedule governance, and continuous process improvement. Travel up to 10% and eligibility for a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 15+ years of experience (12+ if MA/MS, 10+ if PhD)
• Leading subject matter expert in electrical engineering
• Working knowledge of Altium & SolidWorks
• Ability to resolve complex issues creatively
• Ability to provide strategic direction for projects and programs
• Lead through ambiguity and manage risk
• Shaping organizational direction through technical leadership and continuous improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across disciplines
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop electrical engineering team to meet technical, program and business objectives
• Program resource planning and staffing up to meet demand
• Recruit staff and assign personnel to projects
• Ensure goals link to business objectives; mentor and coach
• Oversee performance reviews, compensation, and career development
• Ensure accurate cost and schedule targets; manage budget
• Maintain training plans and staff competencies
• Lead cost estimating for proposals, IR&D, capital and overhead
• Ensure BOEs and schedules are accurate and aligned
• Set and monitor cost/schedule targets; control execution
• Support contract negotiations and fact finding
• Contribute to technology roadmap planning and risk mitigation
• Develop innovative technical solutions and assess risks
• Budget for OH, capital, and software/tool subscriptions
• Champion quality and continuous improvement; update QMS docs
