Job summary

Saab, Inc.'s Surveillance U.S. Division is seeking an Electrical Engineering Functional Manager to lead and develop the Electrical engineering team and collaborate with cross-functional managers to meet objectives.

You will oversee program resource planning, staffing, performance reviews, and cost/schedule targets while ensuring quality and compliance with security requirements. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering plus extensive experience.
• 15+ years of experience (12+ if MA/MS, 10+ if PhD).
• Subject matter expert in electrical engineering with leadership ability.
• Working knowledge of Altium & SolidWorks.
• Strong problem solving and strategic direction capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead across disciplines.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Electrical engineering team to meet objectives.
• Program resource planning and staffing capacity development.
• Recruit staff to meet business demand and assign personnel to projects.
• Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and performance reviews.
• Manage cost and schedule targets; ensure execution within budgets.
• Support contract negotiations and risk mitigation strategies.
• Champion quality improvement and adherence to processes.
