Job summary

Sharp Electronics in Memphis, TN seeks a hands-on Manager of the Electrical Engineering Team to lead design reviews and drive NPI-driven product development for consumer appliances. You will champion high-quality launches and mentor engineers through the product lifecycle.

Collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will ensure compliance with UL/CSA/FCC standards and propel continuous improvement across engineering and production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; Master’s a plus.
5+ years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics or appliances development.
Proficiency with electrical components, schematics, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on design reviews, prototyping, and validation of electrical systems in consumer appliances.
Drive electrical aspects of NPI and ensure timely, high-quality product launches.
Troubleshoot and refine designs to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support efficient production processes.
Define test plans, reports, and sign-off on Product Engineering document changes.
