CyberCoders is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering safe, code-compliant electrical and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, and government facilities from concept through commissioning.

You will oversee design work (schematics, AutoCAD/Revit), utilities coordination, and security integrations, while mentoring staff and managing client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering required; Masters or PE preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with at least 3 years in supervision.
  • Experience in electrical systems design, wiring schematics, and AutoCAD/Revit drawings.
  • Hands-on utilities coordination, power distribution, grounding, and low‑voltage systems.
  • Experience designing CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team with performance management.
  • Oversee electrical systems design for power, lighting, grounding, and coordination for code compliance.
  • Develop, review and approve wiring schematics, low-voltage drawings, and specs.

Electrical Engineering Manager
Position Overview

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers to deliver safe, code-compliant electrical and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, and government facilities. This role is accountable for project delivery from concept through construction and commissioning, including electrical systems design, schematics, AutoCAD documentation, utilities coordination, and security/CCTV and access control integration. The EE Manager will ensure compliance with governing standards and regulations (including DoD, DOE, NRC and 10 CFR 73 where applicable), mentor staff, manage client relationships, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team, providing direction, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Oversee electrical systems design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and utilities coordination, ensuring reliability, safety, and code compliance.
  • Develop, review and approve wiring schematics, low-voltage drawings, AutoCAD/Revit deliverables, and technical specifications.
  • Design and integrate security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Ensure projects meet regulatory and client requirements, including DoD, DOE, NRC standards and 10 CFR 73 compliance where applicable.
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and civil disciplines, contractors, vendors, and utility providers to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, design packages, cost estimates, and construction support documentation; participate in commissioning and site acceptance testing.
  • Lead technical reviews, quality assurance, and constructability assessments; implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Support business development activities by preparing technical proposals, scopes of work, and presenting solutions to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards and technologies, including emerging low-voltage and security system trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Masters degree or PE license preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical systems design, wiring schematics, and preparing detailed AutoCAD or Revit drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with utilities coordination, power distribution, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
  • Proven experience designing and integrating CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other security systems.
  • Familiarity with government and nuclear industry requirements (DoD, DOE, NRC) and regulatory frameworks such as 10 CFR 73.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA) and industry best practices.
  • Proven project management skills including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present technical information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance is a plus; experience working on classified or restricted projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, electrical analysis tools, and common office software.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety and quality in design and construction.
