Job description

The Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team of electrical engineers developing power inverters, converters, and transformers for critical applications. The business is part of a multi-billion dollar, publicly traded global industrial manufacturer.

Products are engineered-to-order power systems serving energy and industrial markets. The role oversees new product development, component obsolescence, and lifecycle management, and partners with QA, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain. This is a newly structured role created to provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to an early-career engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Set individual performance goals aligned with business objectives and provide ongoing coaching and career development
• Drive workload planning, resource allocation, and prioritization to meet business and customer commitments
• Guide and support the offshore engineering team, including periodic onsite visits
• Provide senior-level technical guidance on power electronics solutions, including topology selection, system architecture, and compliance with industry standards
