Job summary

The Baker Company in Sanford, Maine seeks an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead the Electrical team in design, development, and continuous improvement of electrical systems for laboratory equipment. This role blends hands-on engineering with people leadership across Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments.

You will manage workload, performance, and staff development while ensuring safety and compliance with UL/CE/regional requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of five years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Five years’ experience as a technical supervisor / manager required.
• PMP certification a plus; proficient with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of assigned employees including interviewing, hiring, and training; plan and direct work.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with ISO-9001 and audits.
• Coordinate ECRs, ERP interactions, and product lifecycle management.
• Oversee development of electrical drawings and adherence to standards.
