Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern to support instrumentation and control system work in our Lincoln or Omaha offices. You will collaborate with engineers on diverse projects, including data centers and industrial facilities, gaining hands-on experience in a professional, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree, possess strong communication skills, and can work well in teams.

Qualifications

  • This internship targets students pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work well on a team.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist instrumentation and control system design for varied applications.
  • Collaborate with engineers on data centers, water/wastewater, and industrial facilities.

As a summer 2027 student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands‑on, real‑world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll work alongside experienced staff and engineers designing instrumentation and control systems for a variety of applications and industries. Industries include data centers, water/wastewater, thermal energy, oil & gas, and industrial facilities.

Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Using your skills to solve complex engineering challenges.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Revit (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

We are looking to hire one individual to work from either our Lincoln or Omaha locations.
