Job summary

Kodiak Robotics is seeking electrical engineering interns to participate in the design, development, and testing of autonomous vehicle power system equipment in Mountain View, CA. You will work under senior engineers, contribute to hardware selection, PCB design, and system integration, and create presentations for stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering and non-engineering teams, data analysis, and producing diagrams and models.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Exposure to I2C, SPI, CANbus, or battery systems is a plus.
• Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, and testing of AV power system equipment.
• Collaborate across engineering and non-engineering teams.
• Work under guidance of senior engineers and project engineers.
• Execute small-scale scopes of work aligned with quality, schedule and cost constraints.
• Create technical presentations to communicate work to colleagues and stakeholders.

• Internship duration is 12–16 weeks with flexible end date.

Job description

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of AV power system equipment, encompassing hardware and component selection, PCB design, and system-level integration and testing
• Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, encompassing both engineering and non-engineering disciplines
• Carry out assigned tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers, engineering managers, and project engineers
• Accountable for executing and completing small-scale scopes of work, ensuring alignment with project constraints such as quality, schedule, and cost
• Create technical presentations and effectively communicate your work efforts to colleagues and stakeholders
• Generate Electrical wiring diagrams/tables, models, simulations and schematics
• Gather, process, and analyze extensive datasets to inform and support decision-making
• Our internship program is 12-16 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs
