Continental Resources, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience across multiple departments, including Drilling, Completions, and Production. The program emphasizes learning current practices, proposing improvements, and presenting project results.
You will work on department-specific projects with both field and office exposure, and you will present a summary of your findings and implementations. A strong emphasis on communication and teamwork is expected.
The Electrical Engineering Intern will receive training on the practical application of engineering concepts to develop solutions for project assignments associated with Continental’s energy assets. The intern will work with and provide support to one of the following departments within Continental: Drilling, Completions, Production, Resource Development or Project Management. In any department, the engineer intern will have the opportunity for both field- and office-based experiences. The intern will be assigned a department-specific project and is expected to present a summary of the results of their work. These projects vary in scope but typically require the intern to learn and understand current practices, identify areas for improvement, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend an implementation with supporting evidence or review the results of an implemented solution.
In addition to a summer project, the electrical engineering intern will have the opportunity to:
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong customer focus and a team player. Effective time management.
Current enrollment in an accredited program at a four (4) year College or University. Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University. Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation. An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
