Job summary

MKEC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Power Delivery team at our Overland Park location (in office). You will assist with the design of projects related to electric generation, transmission, and distribution, while learning from licensed engineers and project managers.

You will gain hands-on experience using industry software and develop strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to or awareness of industry-specific software (AutoCAD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain diverse experience by working on a variety of real-world projects.
• Learn and use industry-specific design software.
• Work directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
• Learn the full design process from start to finish.
• Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
