The Electrical Engineering Intern will support HMH's Engineering team in the design, development, and testing of electrical control systems used in drilling equipment. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to real‑world engineering projects, including schematic capture, control cabinet design, PLC integration, and lab testing.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist design and documentation of electrical control cabinets, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Participate in integration and testing of PLC-based control systems.
• Assist with component selection, specification review, and vendor research for electrical hardware.
• Support lab testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and production equipment.
• Collect and analyze test data; prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and commissioning teams on cross-functional projects.
