Aalo Atomics is seeking a student engineer intern to assist with controls, CAD, and test systems in Idaho Falls. You will work on small test rigs, learn PLC programming under supervision, and contribute to panel wiring and documentation of procedures.

This on-site internship emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on experience in a nuclear technology environment, with opportunities to grow in automation, instrumentation, and embedded systems as projects require.

Formación

• Enrolled in an engineering or engineering technology program.
• On-site work required during the school year with flexible schedules around classes.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and reading schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.
• Must meet site access and background requirements for a nuclear technology facility.

Responsabilidades

• Build small test systems and fixtures for QA monitoring and panel verification.
• Assist with PLC programming under guidance of senior engineers.
• Support electrical schematic and panel layout design using CAD tools.
• Help with panel assembly, wiring, and point-to-point checkout.
• Document test procedures, results, and changes per quality processes.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies.
• Support controls engineering team with other tasks as projects require.
