Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Rock Island, Illinois to collaborate with experienced engineers on design, analysis, and implementation oversight of building electrical systems. The 10–12 week summer program offers real project work tied to building-system design and coordination.

You will participate in healthcare and MEP-related projects while gaining exposure to industrial support systems, facility upgrades, and infrastructure-driven work, with mentorship and structured

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or completing a BS in Electrical Engineering (2+ years completed).
Exposure to CAD and/or Building Information Modeling software is preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected.
Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form.

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings.
Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
Help manage project budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
Research resources for commercially available equipment.

Interest in design consulting

CAD/BIM experience
