Cleveland-Cliffs in Burns Harbor, IN is offering an Electrical Engineering Intern position. You will work alongside engineering and operations leaders on maintenance, design, and process improvements, gaining exposure to real-world plant projects.

Applicants must be enrolled in a BS program in Electrical Engineering or related field, with sophomore year completed by summer 2027, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Sophomore year completed by summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and/or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, redesign, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown actions.
• Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Analyze current operating performance and SOPs and recommend improvements.
• Support various other projects to assist the business.
