Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking an Electrical Engineering Associate Intern to support the Electrical Team in designing power distribution for auxiliary equipment on gas turbine projects. The role involves low-voltage systems (600V and below) and BOM maintenance under experienced engineers.

You will gain hands-on exposure to NEC/NFPA standards, cable sizing, and engineering documentation processes, while developing your technical and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team interaction.
• Basic mathematical proficiency for engineering calculations and analyses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Visio and Adobe Acrobat preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical design activities incl. calculations, equipment sizing, cable/conduit sizing, and BOM maintenance.
• Interpret and apply NEC/NFPA 70, CEC, IEC, and project-specific standards.
• Support project team members with deliverables based on scope and requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Perform additional engineering and project support duties as needed.
