Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Associate Internship to support the Electrical Team in designing distribution networks for auxiliary equipment on Gas Turbine projects, focusing on low-voltage systems (600V and below).

The internship provides hands-on experience with MCCs, panelboards, LV transformers, DC systems, and batteries, while learning business processes and engineering documentation tools within Mitsubishi Power.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic mathematical proficiency (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, graph interpretation).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design activities and calculations; equipment sizing and BOM maintenance.
• Assist with cable, conduit sizing, and layout considerations.
• Apply NEC/NFPA 70, IEC, and project-specific standards.
• Support engineering deliverables and project requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements for quality and efficiency.
• Perform additional engineering support duties as needed.
