Job summary

Nordson Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern at our Golden Valley site to work with the Electrical and Firmware teams on design reviews, JTAG test development, and schematic creation. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced R&D environment.

You will gain experience across electronics development, testing, and cross-functional collaboration with other engineers, contributing to product quality and delivery improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience or completed coursework in Electronics and Principles of Electronics Design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with schematic capture tools (OrCAD Capture or similar) a plus.
• Experience with Verilog or VHDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews of electrical schematics.
• Create and maintain JTAG tests for electronics assemblies.
• Assist in creation of electrical schematics.
• Assist in troubleshooting electronics assemblies that have shown non-conformities to a validated design.
