Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineering intern in Racine, WI to assist with comprehensive product and motor testing, battery and PCB validation, and component evaluations. You will contribute to design changes, document test results, and learn to troubleshoot field failures under close guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited technical school or university toward an associate/bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, PowerPoint, Excel preferred.
• Experience with circuit/PCB design software is a plus (KiCad, Eagle, Altium).
• Experience with circuit simulation software is a plus (LTSpice, Multisim).
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Product Testing – Voltage, Current, Temperature, etc.
• Motor Testing – Speed, Torque, Power, Efficiency, etc.
• Lithium-Ion Battery Testing; PCB Functionality Testing.
• Component Testing – FETs, BJTs, MCUs, Charge Controllers.
• Programs Microcontrollers using C or similar languages.
• Develops test reports clearly highlighting results.
• Investigates field failures and determines root causes.
• Performs 2D drafting and BOM-related tasks with Electrical CAD/AutoCAD.
• Supports design changes; 3D modeling in SolidWorks a plus.
