Job summary

General Matter is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Los Angeles, CA to help build the electrical systems at the heart of a new generation of enrichment technology. You will gain hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, power electronics, controls, and safety-critical firmware on real hardware designed for a demanding environment.

You will own portions of technical work while learning from experienced engineers across disciplines, following designs from concepts through bring-up,

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergrad or grad degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems architecture, circuit design, PCBA layout.
• Familiar with Altium, Cadence, or similar ECAD tools.
• Collaborative, fast-paced learner in multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid grounding in engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of reliable electrical systems and components for General Matter’s enrichment technology.
• Collaborate across teams to capture requirements, component selection, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, design documentation, manufacturing planning, and production test for electrical designs.
• Create development and qualification testing campaigns to exercise designs to their limits and ensure reliable enrichment hardware.
• Work with experts from other teams to ensure fielded systems perform their function while being efficient, manufacturable, and reliable; build strong professional relationships.
