Job summary

Stratus seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern in Beaverton, OR, to support engineers and designers on power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems for building and infrastructure projects.

You will gain hands-on exposure to electrical design principles, software tools, industry standards, and multidisciplinary coordination, with mentorship from experienced professionals throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
• Internship or co-op experience in electrical design (preferred).
• Familiarity with electrical load calculation software (preferred).
• IEEE or related professional organization involvement (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and other project documentation.
• Support the design and coordination of power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
