Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support design teams through research, drafting, and documentation tasks, gaining practical building systems experience in a collaborative setting.

You will contribute to programming, schematic design, modeling, and construction-phase activities while learning company standards and best practices from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an ABET accredited undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior or lead with basic design tasks, including research, simple studies, and layout support.
• Help prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, modeling, graphics, design development, and construction phases.
• Support the creation of presentation and marketing materials.
• Assist with construction phase activities, including site visits, RFI responses, reviewing shop drawings, and updating record drawings.
• Follow established quality control procedures and ask questions as needed.
• Learn and apply department and company standards and best practices.
• Develop basic design, analysis, and technical skills through hands-on experience.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members.
• Receive guidance from supervisors and team leaders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and other multidisciplinary team members.
