Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the assigned design department by assisting with a variety of tasks, including research, simple studies, and layout support to gain practical experience.

You will help prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, modeling, graphics, design development, and construction phases while collaborating with architects, engineers, and other team members under supervision.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited undergraduate student in Architectural or Electrical Engineering.
• Interest in buildings and facilities projects.
• Full-time student pursuing degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic design tasks, including research, simple studies, and layout support.
• Prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, modeling, graphics, design development, and construction phases.
• Support creation of presentation and marketing materials.
• Assist with construction phase activities, including site visits, RFI responses, reviewing shop drawings, and updating record drawings.
• Follow quality control procedures and learn department standards.
• Develop basic design, analysis, and technical skills through hands-on experience.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members.
• Receive guidance from supervisors and team leaders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
