Shine BrightX LLC seeks a junior BIM designer to support electrical, mechanical, and structural design tasks using BIM technology. You will develop 3D building models under senior guidance and interpret drawings, codes, and related materials to ensure accurate documentation.

The role involves basic calculations, revision control, and collaboration with project managers to prepare site plans, floor plans, elevations, and energy calculations, while maintaining organized drawing sets for client

Responsabilités

• Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes and related materials.
• Perform design tasks for electrical, mechanical, or structural disciplines using BIM to develop 3D models under senior staff direction.
• Conduct basic calculations to analyze and design individual building system components.
• Collaborate with project managers and design staff to prepare and revise drawing documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, energy models and calculations.
• Create electronic data files compliant with client requirements.
• Convert redlines to document-ready work.
• Publish, post, and manage drawing sets.
• Maintain drawing revisions.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and related materials.
• Perform design tasks for electrical, mechanical, or structural disciplines using BIM technologies to develop 3D building models under senior staff direction.
• Conduct basic calculations and layouts to analyze and design individual building system components.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical design staff to prepare and revise drawing documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, details, energy models, and calculations.
• Create electronic data files compliant with Stantec and client requirements.
• Convert redlines to document-ready work.
• Publish, post, and manage drawing sets.
• Maintain drawing revisions.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

• Ability to perform basic calculations and understanding of engineering concepts.
• Basic experience with modeling/drafting software such as Autodesk Revit.
• Basic experience with design software like Trane Trace or EQuest.
• Basic understanding of floor plans, one lines, and details.
• Familiarity with electrical, lighting, and technology design within the built environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD MEP and Revit MEP preferred.
• Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, preferably completed junior year.
• Some related project or internship experience preferred.
