Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Rochester, NY. You will learn to design and develop electrical systems for integration on military aircraft and ground stations, working with avionics, RF, LAN, and power distribution topics.

Essential tasks include creating wiring diagrams, coordinating with Systems Engineering, and supporting testing and integration across aircraft platforms, with a 9/80 schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Co-Op/Intern or entry-level experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with CAD and PLM software (NX, Teamcenter).

Responsibilities

• Create system wiring diagrams and control panels using CAD.
• Research engineering drawings and coordinate with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production.
• Support testing and integration of electrical systems on aircraft.
• Assist development of Avionics, RF, LAN, Power Distribution systems and loads analysis.

Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercialaircraftand ground stations. Electrical Engineershave the opportunity towork on a wide variety of tasks andaircraftsystems onnumerousaircraftplatforms.

Essential Functions:

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, controlpanelsand other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design)tool

• Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost

• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on theaircraft

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuingaBachelor’sdegree, aMaster’sdegree or a PhDin Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Co-Op/Intern orpreviousentry-level experience in electrical engineering

• Skills/Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter

PAY TRANSPARENCY:In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $22 per hour - $40.50 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
