Job summary

CDM Smith's Boston office is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op for Spring 2027. Work with a dynamic team on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects.

You will develop electrical drawings, perform system analyses, and assist with distribution design while gaining exposure to master planning and sustainability initiatives.

Travel is limited to about 10% as you support project delivery and construction services in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• Interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Perform electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
