Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our Life Sciences team in Cincinnati, OH, starting January 2027. You will contribute to Advanced Facilities design tasks, partnering with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to deliver practical, innovative solutions for local and global clients.

You will develop skills under mentorship, progressing from basic design work to more complex projects while supporting coordination with other trades and teams.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Local to Cincinnati, OH.
• Basic knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs.
• Previous experience working in a corporate engineering environment.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multidisciplinary team on Advanced Facilities design tasks such as power system planning, renewable energy, power distribution, energy & power solutions, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, or vertical transportation and construction coordination.
• Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will provide design services including coordinating with the design of other trades.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects.
