Interns and co-ops join the North Campus program, with assignments typically 10–12 weeks for interns and 16–18 weeks for co-ops, including a summer rotation and potential for full-time opportunities. Pay ranges $21.00–$23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of electrical power distribution and industrial controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or willingness to learn.
• Interest in industrial automation and manufacturing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations through electrical engineering principles.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems affecting production equipment.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures to improve reliability.
• Gain experience with PLC programming (Siemens & Allen-Bradley).
• Develop, modify, and document ladder logic and control system programs.
• Create electrical schematics, operating procedures, and documentation.
• Assist with installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Design and implement engineered solutions for electrical projects.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors and vendors.
