Job summary

Cardiff and Vale College is seeking to appoint an Engineering Electrical Assessor / IQA to join our Work-Based Learning team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to support apprentices in developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for successful careers within the electrical engineering sector.

Working closely with employers and apprentices, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality assessment and internal quality assurance

Qualifications

• You will manage a caseload of apprentices, carrying out workplace assessments, progress reviews and learner support activities to ensure learners remain on track to achieve their qualifications and fulfil their potential.
• You will work closely with employers to build strong partnerships, maintain high levels of learner engagement and support the ongoing development of apprenticeship opportunities.
• You will provide guidance and feedback to learners, maintain accurate records and ensure all activity complies with awarding organisation and contractual requirements.
• In addition, you will undertake Internal Quality Assurance activities, supporting quality improvement across the provision and ensuring assessment practice meets awarding organisation standards and requirements.
• You will also contribute to the development of learners' literacy, numeracy and digital skills and support the continued growth and success of the College's Work-Based Learning programmes.
