Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Westlake office in Texas. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities across MEP, lighting, power distribution, renewables, EV charging, security and communications projects.

You will analyze deliverables, support project managers, and learn regulatory practices while developing technical specifications and cost research. The role may involve exposure to solar energy and Intelligent Transportation Systems design.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree by Summer 2027 (Bachelors or Masters).

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn standards and practices.
• Work on projects including MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewables, EV charging, security and communications.
• Assist with technical specifications and electrical cost research.
• Gain exposure to solar/energy projects and ITS design (traffic operations centers, sensors, CCTV, fiber networks).

Education

ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.
